An Epiroc drill rig or loader that's down for one missing part costs the mine every hour it waits. This guide is for maintenance planners, buyers and parts dealers who source Epiroc spare parts. It covers the machine families people search for most, the part categories that get requested most often, how old Atlas Copco part numbers fit in, and how to write a request for quote (RFQ) that gets an accurate answer the first time.
First, the Atlas Copco connection
Epiroc was formed in 2018 when Atlas Copco split off its mining and rock excavation business. A large share of the rigs, loaders and rock drills still working underground were sold under the Atlas Copco name, and many of their part numbers carried over to Epiroc.
That matters when you search. A buyer looking for an "Epiroc" part may find the same number listed as Atlas Copco, and the reverse. On GPI, many Atlas Copco listings already say so in their descriptions, for example Atlas Copco lock (Epiroc), part number 5537878100 and Atlas Copco cable (Epiroc), part number 5590000912.
Rule of thumb: search the number under both names, and always confirm the current or superseded number with the seller before you order.
Start with the part number, not the description
Description-only requests like "boom hose for a Boomer" are the most common reason an order goes wrong. The same model can be built in different configurations depending on year and options. Before you search or send an RFQ:
- Get the exact part number from the parts manual, the parts catalog or the old part.
- Note the machine serial number, not just the model.
- Check for superseded numbers, including the older Atlas Copco number.
- Take photos of the old part, including tags and stamped numbers.
On GPI you can search Epiroc and Atlas Copco parts by part number. Each listing shows condition, seller and location.
Epiroc face drilling rig parts (Boomer)
Boomer rigs drill the face in development headings and tunnels. Booms, feeds and hydraulics take constant vibration and impact, so the parts requested most are:
- Hoses and hose kits for boom and feed circuits
- Hydraulic valves and valve blocks
- Feed components: feed beams, slide pieces, cradles and wear strips
- Boom parts: cylinders, seal kits, pins and bushings
- Cable reels and electrical components
- Rock drill parts (see the COP section below)
Buying tip: hose kits are often replaced as a set after a failure. List every hose position in one RFQ instead of ordering one at a time.
Epiroc production drilling parts (Simba)
Simba rigs drill long holes for production blasting. Requests usually center on:
- Feed and rotation parts
- Hoses and fittings
- Hydraulic valves and control components
- Electrical parts: sensors, switches and harnesses
- Rock drill service kits
Epiroc underground loader parts (Scooptram)
Scooptram LHD loaders, such as the ST14, run heavy load-and-dump cycles all shift. The most requested categories are:
- Hydraulic cylinders and seal kits for boom, bucket and steering
- Pins and bushings at the articulation joint and boom linkage
- Brake components and brake seal kits
- Bucket wear parts: lips, teeth and wear plates
- Filters and service kits for scheduled maintenance
- Electrical harnesses, switches and lighting
Buying tip: when you order seal kits, quote the cylinder's part number, not only the loader model. Two cylinders on the same machine can take different kits.
Epiroc underground truck parts (Minetruck)
Minetruck haulers move ore and waste out of the mine. Requests usually cover:
- Drivetrain: axles, transmission parts and drive shafts
- Suspension and steering components
- Dump and hoist cylinders and seal kits
- Engine service parts and filters
- Electrical and lighting parts
Truck parts are often large and heavy, so put the delivery location and required date in the RFQ. Freight can change the landed cost a lot.
Epiroc rock bolting rig parts (Boltec)
Boltec rigs install ground support. Common requests are bolting head components, feeds, hoses, valves and wear parts for the bolt-handling system.
Epiroc surface rigs and COP rock drill parts
Surface rigs such as SmartROC and Pit Viper, and the COP rock drills used across many Epiroc rigs, generate steady demand for:
- Rock drill seal kits and service kits
- Pistons, bushings and adapters
- Accumulator parts and diaphragms
- Hoses, valves and filters
Rock drill kits are model-specific. Include the rock drill model and serial number, not only the rig model.
How to write an Epiroc parts RFQ that gets a fast, accurate quote
Copy this checklist into your request:
- Part number(s), plus any old Atlas Copco or superseded numbers you know
- Description of each part
- Quantity for each line
- Machine model and serial number (and rock drill model if relevant)
- Condition you'll accept: new, used, rebuilt, OEM or aftermarket
- Ship-to location and incoterm if you know it
- Required delivery date
- Photos of the old part or its tag
A complete RFQ lets the seller confirm fitment and quote the whole list in one reply instead of going back and forth by email.
For parts dealers: quote Epiroc requests faster
If you sell Epiroc or Atlas Copco mining parts, the speed and accuracy of your quote often decides the sale. Global Parts Intel is dealer software built for that parts desk:
- RFQ intake and quoting: capture requests and send branded quotes quickly.
- Part markup rules: set markup so every quote protects your margin.
- Marketplace sourcing: when a part isn't in your stock, search the GPI marketplace by part number to find it.
- OFAC screening: screen buyers before you quote or ship export orders.
- List your inventory on the GPI marketplace so buyers searching Epiroc part numbers find you.

Frequently asked questions
Many are. Epiroc was formed from Atlas Copco's mining and rock excavation business in 2018, and many part numbers for those machines carried over. Some have since been superseded, so confirm the current number with the seller.
Type the part number into the parts search on Global Parts Intel. Try it under both Epiroc and Atlas Copco. Results show condition, seller and location, and you can send a request for quote from the listing.
The part number, quantity, machine model and serial number, the condition you'll accept, the delivery location and the date you need it. Photos of the old part help the seller confirm fitment.
GPI is an independent marketplace where sellers list new, used and aftermarket parts. Each listing shows the seller and condition. Ask the seller whether a part is OEM or aftermarket before you buy.
Yes. Send one RFQ listing every part number with quantity, machine model, serial number and delivery location, and the seller can quote the whole list.
No. Global Parts Intel is not affiliated with Epiroc or Atlas Copco. Brand names are used only to describe compatibility.
